Will ‘Animated Albums’ be the next alt viral meme blog to get a book deal?

Every several months, there is a new viral meme blog that gets a book deal [via tumblr]. Recently, a viral meme blog called has emerged, and it seems like some bro with photoshop remixed a bunch of popular album covers to have an animated element. For example, in the above image, u can see Bjork ‘gettin her mouf fed’ with some sushi.

This seems like a ‘very sharable meme’, like an excuse to talk about old albums, and ponder whether or not is authentic as it used to be.

What’s ur favourite Animated Album?

Wonder if the Strokes would have sold more albums if consumers got to see ‘a nice ass being smacked.’

Sorta just want to make a Bowie meme that ‘goes viral.’

Might pretend that Xtina Aguilerian is ‘riding my penis’ in .gif format.

Does n e 1 know what album cover this is? I usually see fat stoners wearing a shirt with this design on it, but I thought it was just a dead brand like Mossimo or Yaga, or something like that. (miss u Airwalk era)

Maybe i will just make Beatles-only memes to ensure a higher sharability rate.

As many of yall know, there is a difference between a .gif and a .jpg. .GIFs are able to move around and be all zany, but .jpgs are flat and kinda boring. Books seem like they can only really handle flat jpgs, unless they are converted into zany flipbooks.

Do u think has a shot of ‘getting a book deal’ or would it be impossible for them to get the rights to use these seminal album covers?
Feel sad when a meme blog can’t get a book deal. Like it might as well should have never existed. Even though I got a giggle out of it, seems like there is no point in having a blog unless u can monetize it. What is ur favourite blog to book deal of all time?

‘Viral meme blogs that get book deals sorta makes me sad, because I am an authentic writer, but I will never get paid what I truly deserve for my insightful opinions + crafty ass sentences with tons of meaning+analysis.’

what modern album do u want to see animated?
Is overlooked since it is basically just a boring jpg when no 1 buys the actual album?
Should all albums be animated in the modern world?

Is the Merriweather Post Pavilion a .jpg or a .gif?
How is it moving? Is it animated? Feel confused, like I live in a 3rd world country and believe that this album cover is ‘black magic’ [via the devil].

What is the greatest of the indie/post-indie era?
