New Alt Deer DJ transcending the electro scene, getting tons of blog buzz

There is apparently a new Deer DJ who is ‘tearing up’ the electro scene. Last weekend, he played a relevant club in the greater Los Angeles metro area, and seemed to have acquired a lot of fans. He threw down a ‘sick nasty’ set with a mix of bangers, ravewave, chillcore, techno haus, and post-bloghaus. He handed out free mix CDs and USB drives that were fully loaded with digital media strengthening his brand. He even included a PDF file that was a ‘press kit’ for his DJ brand.
Do u think this deer is the victim of suburban development? Like he used to live in a forest, but then they built a subdivision and he was adopted by an uppermiddleclass family. Now he went away to college in a relevant city, got wrapped up in the scene, and now he is trying to ‘make it’ as a DJ / electro act?
Seems like anonymous animals are ‘taking over the indie and DJ scene.’ After Daft Punk’s “Human After All”, fans are no longer interested in humans. The want ‘anonymous alt animals’ who represent ‘getting back 2 nature.’ I feel like the ‘deer brand’ might be a response to the emerging post-emo trend of ‘people who think the are wolves.’ [link]

@elliott, ur mix isnt horrible but it pretty much just includes new songs from ‘seimi-relevant to relevant’ buzzbands from past years. If ur trying to make a ‘relevant 2k10 mix’, include some new bands from 2k10 bro

The joke is on you! Unless it’s not, then you can take my question seriously. But if your Twitter stream is any indication, our tastes match well – I also like mainstream hip hop, Regina Spektor, Joanna Newsom, and Yeasayer. Got any recs of albums I missed so far this year?
PS) there was a really deeply veiled joke in there; I don’t like Drake but I liked his character on “Degrassi: The Next Generation” so I gotta give him a shot.

The DeerJ is me. This branding choice reflects an effort to bring electronic music back to its roots–the forest. Beavers were actually the first DJs when they started making beats by smacking their tails against hollow logs. Respect.

I really like the conversation starters on HRO. But, nobody ever responds to them, LOL.
Yeah, this Deer DJ probably is a victim of suburban development, but maybe not adopted by a family, maybe just decided to DJ after wandering into a high schooler’s party. There’s a lot of anti-deer sentiment in the suburbs, they even make special fences to keep them out! So, high school kids would naturally embrace this deer bro as a way to piss off their parents, kind like, now that gangster rap isn’t alarming to their parents, since their parents are probably Gen Xers who were into NWA. Deer is bigger threat in the suburbs. Other than bears. Bear DJ will be next.
